Bart Gray, the visionary behind Global Jetcare, an international air ambulance service, attributes much of his success and adventurous spirit to his formative years in Scouting. Under the guidance of his mother, Christina Gray, Bart navigated through the ranks of Cub Scouts, soaking in the invaluable lessons of leadership, service, and perseverance. His summers were spent at Scout camps and the legendary Philmont Scout Ranch, experiences that not only enriched his youth but also sowed the seeds for his future endeavors.
Three decades since earning the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout, Bart continues to live by the Scout Oath and Law, extending his helping hand to those in need through Global Jetcare. His organization plays a critical role in the global community, providing air ambulance services that enable individuals to access vital medical treatments.
In a testament to his unwavering spirit of adventure and commitment to making a difference, Bart is now embarking on a record-setting mission: circumnavigating the globe in one of his Learjets. Scheduled to take off on April 4th and return on April 6th, this westbound journey is not just a test of endurance and skill, but also a mission with a purpose. Bart aims to raise funds for the Classic Lear Jet Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Lear Jet aircraft, an icon of aviation history.
Reflecting on his upcoming adventure, Bart shares, “Being a part of the Boy Scouts of America has equipped me to face various challenges in life, and this journey is a testament to that preparation. Scouting instilled in me the ability to set life goals, embrace risks, and hone essential skills. I am eager for this new quest.”
