The University of Scouting is a premier training event for all adult leaders, parents, and Scouts (Wolf rank and above). Hosted by the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council, this one-day event offers a variety of classes designed to help you improve your Scouting knowledge, leadership skills, and program delivery.

Participants can choose from multiple “colleges,” such as:

  • Cub Scouting – Discover new program ideas and den-level activities.

  • Scouts BSA – Learn about troop organization, advancement, and youth leadership.

  • Outdoor Skills – Sharpen your camping, cooking, and survival techniques.

  • Leadership & Administration – Build stronger units and learn effective communication and planning.

  • STEM & Special Topics – Explore new and innovative ways to engage youth.

Whether you’re a new leader learning the basics or a seasoned Scouter looking to expand your horizons, the University of Scouting has something for everyone. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers, exchange ideas, and celebrate the spirit of Scouting.

All registered Scouts and Scouters are encouraged to attend. Cub Scouts (Wolf and up) are welcome too!
