Camp and Event Policies / Procedures – Updated March 31, 2022

The Council COVID-19 Response Committee leadership met virtually on March 29, 2022 and considered the continuing impact of COVID on our local area. The Committee, after reviewing all available information, has decided to issue the following statement relative to the current situation.

  1. Effective immediately the requirement for all participants in Council or District events to complete and sign the Council Pre-Event Medical Screening and Hold Harmless Agreement is rescinded.
  2. The following Response Matrix has been created to drive the protocols and mitigation strategies to deploy when each threshold is met concerning the current and future pandemic situations.

Given the fluid nature of the situation, this web page located at http://www.tampbayscouting.org/covid-mitigation-procedures/ is the definitive source for all procedures for the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council and supersedes any printed version or information from other websites including event calendar entries and leader’s guides.

Note – Our camp properties are location in four different counties, so there may be procedure differences between camps due to local regulations.

Council event attendees, including participants and staff, are required to comply with the Council’s current COVID protocols. Failure to do so will result in removal from Council properties and/or events and forfeiture of event registration fees.
