One of the biggest barriers to Scout leader training is simple: parents often have their kids with them. That matters because trained leaders do more than run meetings. They build stronger programs, create better experiences, and help keep families engaged in Scouting longer. This summer, the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council is making training and planning easier with two family-friendly events at Camp Soule.

Council Program Preview | May 30

Get a first look at the upcoming Scouting year with program demonstrations, event previews, training opportunities, community partners, and planning resources. While leaders explore what’s ahead, Scouts can participate in Spirit of the Outdoors at camp the same day.

D.I.N.O. Camp Family Day & Leader Training Day | June 19

Scouts enjoy dino-themed Day Camp fun while leaders take part in hands-on training, program planning, networking, and leadership development. This free event helps remove a common barrier for busy parents and volunteers while giving Packs practical tools to grow stronger.

Strong leaders build strong units. Strong units create exciting programs. And exciting programs improve retention by giving Scouts and families more reasons to stay involved year after year.
