As of January 10, Rachelle DesVaux Bedke began serving as President of the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council of Scouting America. She is the first woman to hold this role in our Council’s history, a milestone that reflects both the growth of Scouting America and the incredible women who have long strengthened our movement as volunteers and leaders.
Rachelle’s Scouting journey spans more than 16 years as a parent volunteer, unit leader, high adventure coordinator, board member, and champion of ScoutReach. Her leadership reflects deep experience at every level of the program.
In this message, she shares her vision for expanding access through ScoutReach, strengthening recruitment and retention, sharpening our strategic focus, and elevating our commitment to Mental, Emotional, and Social Health through the MESH initiative.
Scouting changes lives. Strong leadership ensures it continues to do so for generations to come.
