Cub Fest is a chance for families to spend a day trying real Scouting activities, exploring our camps and seeing what Cub Scouts is all about.

You do not need to know anything about Scouting before attending. Here are a few of the questions families ask most often.
No. Scouting Nights are free and open to families who want to learn more. Find an event near you and stop by.
Yes. We encourage families to attend together so your child can meet local Scouts and leaders and get a feel for the program.
Annual registration is $118, plus local unit fees. Uniforms, activities, trips or other optional items may have additional costs. Local leaders can walk you through the full cost before you decide to join.
You do not have to attend a Scouting Night to get started. You can find a local Scout group and contact them directly.
No. Come meet the group, ask questions and see whether it feels right for your family. If you are ready, you can register at the event or join online later.
Yes. Scouting programs are available for girls and boys from kindergarten through age 20, with program options based on age and grade.
Yes. Many Scouts also participate in sports, clubs, music and other activities. Meeting schedules vary by local group, so you can look for one that works with your family's schedule.
That is completely fine. Scouting includes much more than camping, including STEM, games, service projects, hands-on skills, leadership and plenty of opportunities to discover new interests.
