Join Scout Night FAQ

Join Scouting Nights is an exciting event where families can learn all about the Scouting program, meet local leaders, and sign up their children to become Scouts. It’s a great opportunity to discover the fun and adventure that Scouting offers. This event usually takes place at your child’s school.

If you couldn’t attend our Join Scout Night but still want to sign up, you can easily do so online. Visit beascout.org to join the adventure today!

Scouting is open to boys and girls from kindergarten through 12th grade. There are various programs tailored to different age groups, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for everyone.

Your child should receive a flyer from school a day or two before the event. Additionally, look for yard signs on your school campus to remind you of the date and time.

You are welcome to attend any local Join Scouting Night event that fits your schedule, even if your child does not attend that school. Choose a date and time that works best for your family.

Go to the event you’re interested in attending and reach out to the Scouting Professional leading that event. They will be available to answer any questions you may have. You can also call the Council office at (813) 872-2691.

Your child doesn’t need to bring anything specific to Join Scouting Night. Just get ready to learn and have fun!

The cost of joining Scouting varies depending on the program and local Council fees. We’ll provide detailed information about fees and payment options during Join Scouting Night.

Absolutely! Scouting is a volunteer-led organization, and we welcome parents to get involved. Whether you want to help with a specific event or take on a leadership role, there are plenty of ways to contribute.

Yes, financial assistance is available for families who need support. Speak with us at your Join Scout Night for more information on how to apply for assistance. We want to make Scouting accessible for all!
