Withlacoochee District - Greater Tampa Bay Area Council

It is a great time to be a Scout and our program has so much to offer to our youth and families. Come out and join the District Commissioner Team and other unit leaders as we prepare to lead our units for the greatest Scouting Season Ever!

We will be reviewing our 2025 program calendar. We will answer any questions regarding the renewal process.

Special breakout session for our Scout BSA Leaders and Cub Scout leaders to cover any topics needed.

Alex Sobtzak, Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner will talk about fall recruitment and help you answer any questions you may have on the new Cub Scout Adventures.

Roundtable is a form of commissioner service and supplemental training for the leaders within all Scouting Units. It is intended to give leaders examples for different unit programs, information on policies, events and training opportunities. It will help you as an unit leader to learn new skills and endure you have everything needed to run a great Scouting Program.

Our meeting will be held in the Dining Hall at Sand Hill Scout Reservation, starting at 7:30pm. Announcements and quick information will be presented, followed by breakout sessions for Scout BSA leaders and Cub Scout Leaders to allow for a more in-depth conversations.

Aiming for the Arrow

November 1-3, 2024

Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts are welcome to attend the Withlacoochee District Aiming for the Arrow, American Heritage. Cubs will learn some new scout skills, take time to remember our American Heritage, all while working in a patrol method setting. By working on these skills they will gather new skills for their Webelos and Arrow of Light ranks. This will give them an insight of the scouting traditions to be successful in Scouts BSA. The Cub Scouts will be taught the patrol method and will be using this skill through out the day within the activities. The Cub Scouts will experience different activities for first-aid and other outdoor camping experiences. This camping experience is for Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts only.

Cub Scout Activity Day- CUBS TO THE RESCUE

Rescheduled to January 11, 2025

Join the Cubs on a heroic adventure! Spend a day at camp rubbing elbows with various first responders and uncovering their super cool jobs. Get up close with helicopters, fire trucks, police cars, a smoke house, plus dive into games, arts and crafts, and more! And hey, there’s even shooting sports on offer – think archery, BB guns, and wrist rockets. With over 20 action-packed stations to explore, get ready for an epic day of fun! See you at camp, superheroes-in-training!

Sand Hill Trail Crew

Service hours are an important part of scouting. It allows for our youth to reach out to the community and help others. Sand Hill Trail Crew is always looking for units to help maintain different parts of the hiking trails and other sections of our scout camp.
