Tampa, FL (February 6, 2025) – This year, we proudly celebrate 115 years of Scouting America, a milestone that marks over a century of shaping young lives through character development, leadership training, and outdoor adventure. As we embrace our new name—Scouting America—we reaffirm our commitment to preparing young people for success in a world that is constantly evolving.

For generations, we have instilled the values of the Scout Oath and Law in youth across the nation. Whether through camping trips, Pinewood Derby races, or challenging outdoor treks, every Scouting experience helps build confidence, resilience, and leadership—qualities that last a lifetime.

A Legacy of Service and Leadership

Since 1910, more than 130 million young people have been part of the Scouting movement, thanks to the dedication of 477,000 adult volunteers who help guide today’s Scouts on their journey. Today, we serve over 1 million youth nationwide, providing them with meaningful life experiences that inspire growth, foster teamwork, and create lifelong memories.

“Scouting America has instilled timeless values in generations of Americans,” said Roger Krone, Scouting America President and CEO. “In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, the values and skills taught through Scouting are more essential than ever. As we celebrate 115 years of service, we reaffirm our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment where young people can develop the confidence and skills they need to become responsible and engaged citizens.”

Looking Toward the Future

As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we remain committed to ensuring that Scouting continues to grow and evolve. By introducing new programs, embracing innovation, and staying true to our core values, we are preparing future generations to lead with integrity, make ethical decisions, and serve their communities with purpose.

On February 8, 2025, we invite all Scouts, leaders, families, and supporters to join us in celebrating 115 years of adventure, leadership, and service. Whether you’re an Eagle Scout reflecting on your journey or a new Cub Scout just beginning, this anniversary is a testament to the lasting impact of Scouting America.
