Scouting Sign-Up Night – LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPLORER POST 409 (AGES 14 AND UP)

August 17 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

Explore a Future in Law Enforcement!

Interested in law enforcement, criminal justice, or public safety? Law Enforcement Exploring gives young people the opportunity to get an inside look at the profession, learn directly from law enforcement professionals, and discover whether a career in public service could be right for them.

This is more than learning about a job. Explorers participate in hands-on activities, career demonstrations, training experiences, and team-building opportunities designed to introduce them to the skills and responsibilities involved in law enforcement.

Experience the Career Up Close

Through Law Enforcement Exploring, young people can learn about areas such as crime scene investigation, communications, traffic safety, investigations, patrol procedures, emergency response, and other aspects of the criminal justice system. Experiences vary by post and are guided by local law enforcement professionals.

Along the way, Explorers develop valuable skills including leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, and confidence—skills that can help prepare them for college, a future career, and life.

You don’t need to have your future figured out to participate. Whether you’re already considering a career in law enforcement or are simply curious about criminal justice and public safety, Exploring is an opportunity to ask questions, meet professionals, and see what the field is really like.

At this sign-up event, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Post leaders, learn about upcoming activities and experiences, ask questions, and find out how to get involved.

Your future starts with exploring what’s possible. Come discover where a career in law enforcement could take you!
