Plan now to attend the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council’s University of Scouting on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Saint Leo University.

The University of Scouting is an adult leader’s learning adventure! It is an action-packed, fun-filled day of supplemental training where you choose the sessions you wish to take. Sessions are led by experienced volunteers who will help you enhance your ability to deliver a fun and exciting program to the youth in your unit(s). There are a variety of classes for new and veteran Scouters.
In addition to the training, you’ll have the opportunity to network with other Scouters; make new friends, and share ideas and experiences. There will be a Leader Resource Center where you can find information and materials on a wide variety of Scouting activities, organizations and other resources designed to help you be a more effective Scout Leader.
The day will be kicked off with a special opening ceremony, appropriate for such an awesome event, and will conclude with a similar gathering. You won’t want to miss a minute of this day.
2017’s University of Scouting will be a rain-or-shine event at Saint Leo University. All participants are encouraged to maintain a proper field uniform throughout the day. Please bring a water bottle or reusable cup to stay hydrated.
