Greater Tampa Bay Area Council Fly Fishing Tournament – April 28 & 29, 2023
Grab your fly fishing gear and join us for the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council’s 2nd annual Fly Fishing tournament. Proceeds will go towards assisting youth in our communities, assisting them to become a part of the scouting program.
1st place: $2,000
2nd place: 1,000

The Arbor – $150
Solo Angler! Includes 2 days of fishing, a shirt, tape measure, and fly fishing swag! Dinner and awards will be provided Saturday night.
The Foul Hook – $275
Team of 2 Anglers. Includes 2 days of fishing, a shirt, tape measure, and fly fishing swag. Dinner and awards will be provided Saturday night.
The Streamer – $550
Team of 4 Anglers. Includes 2 days of fishing, a shirt, tape measure, and fly fishing swag. Dinner and awards will be provided Saturday night.

5/28/2023 – Day 1 – 6 am – sunset
5/29/2023 – Day 2 – 6 am – 3 pm
5/29/2023 – 5 pm Awards Dinner @ Mullet’s Fish Camp and Market, St. Petersburg
You may fish on land or by boat. This two-day event, a photo submission format will make it possible for all fishermen to participate. Limited to 120 anglers! 18 and under are FREE!
Rules
- Fishing boundaries: Northern Border: Anclote Key to Tarpon Springs. Southern Border: Southern tip of Anna Maria Island and the entire Tampa Bay Area.
- Upon registration and payment, each team will be assigned a team number at the angler meeting. The team number must be displayed on the tournament card, with the date and code you will be given. Also, you must download the “iangler” app to use during the tournament. Link to come soon!
- To differentiate fish caught on Day 1 vs. Day 2, a daily code word will be texted to each angler at 9 pm the evening before the fishing day. The daily code word must be clearly and legibly written on a card, your hand, etc, with photo submission.
- It will be a four-species combined length of Snook, Redfish, Speckled trout, and Tarpon for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Catch and release only. (fly must be in the photo)
When registering, ensure to include your shirt and team sizes if applicable. Shirt size deadline: April 12, 2023
