Our events during the summer months of June, July and August were great success! A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our friends, unit leaders, long-time and loyal volunteers, supporters, camp staff. We couldn’t have offered all of our programs without YOU! Because of YOU, more than 300 of our Cub Scouts, siblings (girls and boys), and 250 of their family members (including moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, guardians, brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles) were able to spend time at our camp, explored the amenities, and enjoyed the summer before heading back to school and work.
WHY DO WE DO THIS ?????
In our efforts to assist with membership retention for Cub Scout Packs, we offer the Summer Time Pack Activities during June, July and August to encourage a pack to remain active when school is out for the summer, by doing one activity per month in June, July, and August. (pack registration is encouraged to attain the Summertime Award – or you can register as individual Scout’s family, with non-Scout and siblings joining in with the fun).
WHO CAN EARN THIS AWARD?
Earned by youth and adult pack members who take part in summertime activities. To qualify, have one activity per month during June, July, August as a unit. (if registered as individual family/participants, no award issued)
HOW TO GET THE AWARD?
Once activities are completed, the Pack Coordinator will receive the Award Application to complete. Return completed form to Council Service Center for Award issuance (Pack will receive Award and Streamer free of charge- Ribbons and Pins are available for purchase at the Tampa Bay Scout Shop)
□ Saturday –June Theme: Shooting Sports (BB’s, Archery, Slingshots and Field Sports)
□ Saturday – July Theme: Aquatics (Canoe, Kayak and Field Sports)
□ Saturday – August Theme: Climb/Rappel* and Boulder Wall ** Climb and Field Sports-
* Climb/Rappel for Webelos only (10 yrs and older) ** Boulder Wall for Tiger and older Cub Scouts

HOW MUCH? The fees for 2016 were:
Registration $20 per Cub Scout/Participant per event (Fee includes food, program supplies/equipment and program staff). Non-Participant $5 per person (Adults/Siblings/non-Scouts) for food per event.
