Join the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council’s contingent to National Scout Jamboree in July 2021!

What is the National Jamboree?
It’s the most awesome event a Scout or Venturer could attend. It’s everything you can do in Scouting–and more–in one spot just for you . . . and about 40,000 of your friends from around the country and around the world! It’s 10 days of adventure and excitement that you don’t want to miss!!

2021 Jamboree Qualifications:

  • Scouts and team members MUST have a current BSA membership with a Boy Scout troop or Varsity Scout team.
  • Scouts MUST be at least a First Class Scout. MUST be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree or an 11 year old that has graduated the 6th grade, but has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree.
  • Be approved by the unit leader and local council.
  • Scouts MUST have appropriate parent/guardian to complete the online parental consent. (An email will be sent to the parent/guardian during the application process.)
  • Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
  • Submitted BSA Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process.
  • Submit all registrations fees per the local council’s payment schedule.

What are the Trip Dates?
The itinerary for the GTBAC contingent is:

  • July 20 – Depart Tampa
  • July 21-30 – National Jamboree at the Summit
  • July 31 – Return to Tampa

What Do I Get in the GTBAC Contingent?

With the National Jamboree happening only once every 4 years, chances are Scouts may have only one opportunity to attend a National Scout Jamboree. Here’s the details for locking in your spot for this unique Scouting adventure:

  • The Greater Tampa Bay Area Council Contingent Jamboree fee includes:
    • 10 days at the 2021 National Jamboree
    • Transportation to the event
    • Meals
    • Shirts
    • Hat
    • Shakedown weekend
    • Patches and other spirit items
    • Camping equipment will be provided by the Summit

How Much Does it Cost?

The cost for the 2021 Greater Tampa Bay Area Council Jamboree Contingent is $1975.  This includes 2 weeks of Scouting memories and experiences for a once in a lifetime event.

Payment Details:

  • $100 will hold your place on Greater Tampa Bay Area Council’s 2021 National Jamboree contingent
  • Payment Deadlines are as follows:
    • $250 ($350 total) by 6/15/2020
    • $400 ($700 total) by 8/15/2020
    • $400 ($1150 total) by 10/15/2020
    • $400 ($1550 total) by 12/15/2021
    • $425 ($1975 total) by 2/15/2021

How to Register

Step 1

Go to the National Jamboree website: https://jamboree.scouting.org and click Apply Now to begin a new participant registration. Fully complete the registration. Your information will be shared with the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council.

Step 2

Register online with the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council at: https://scoutingevent.com/089-2021NationalJamboree and make your deposit.  You will get an email confirmation.  After we review your application we will connect you with your Jamboree Scoutmaster.

What can you do?
Climbing, zip lines, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, BMX biking, world-class skate park, shooting ranges, kayaking, arena shows, aquatic challenges, state of the art tech stuff, rappelling, merit badge opportunities, STEM Quest and even some patch trading along the way.

Any 2021 Jamboree Participant that registers with a deposit will receive this patch! 

Where is the Jamboree?
The Summit Bechtel Reserve is home to the National Scout Jamboree. Situated in the wilds of West Virginia, The Summit is a training, Scouting, and adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in the Boy Scouts of America and anyone who loves the outdoors. The GTBAC contingent will travel to the Summit in chartered motor coaches accompanied by trained and experienced adult scout leaders. The Summit is a place that takes Scouts and Venturers to the limits of what they think they can do, and then pushes them further.
